Our founder has worked in this industry for more than 25 years in nearly every capacity. Dan Mendoza has worked with some of the biggest retailers like CITY Furniture, Home Depot, and 3P Delivery. He’s done everything from building the routing system of multi-million national companies to running his own business, RTL Direct. With 900 daily trucks, he still knew 90% of contract carriers, held monthly summit meetings, would have personal 1-on-1s for new truckers, and even worked within the warehouse unloading trucks.
But Dan’s first and foremost priority is family. He believes that when you take care of people, you score better than competitors and gain the trust of truckers who want to work to be a part of your team and make longer-lasting partnerships.

CXD Logistics’ environmental commitment runs deep. We’ve earned the SmartWay certification, an EPA program that helps the freight transportation sector improve supply chain efficiency. The SmartWay program certifies the 20% lowest-emitting passenger vehicles based on greenhouse gas and smog ratings each model year. We do everything possible to reduce our carbon footprint as it relates to the customer packaging and handling of freight by reducing and/or recycling cardboard debris and reducing pollutants in domestic locations by replacing warehouse equipment that runs on fuel with those powered by electricity.
CITY Furniture is one of the largest furniture retailers in the nation, family-owned and operated by CXD Logistics co-CEO Andrew Koenig. For many years already, he’s been responsible for CITY Furniture’s high-growth, continuous improvement process and boosting the firm’s productivity. He oversees all departments and associates and the roll-out of the Lean Management system he developed. His visionary “greening” of the firm’s approximately 100-truck delivery fleet to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) has cut emissions by 47 percent, produced strong, ongoing ROI, and has won national awards. Our partnership with Andrew and CITY Furniture is a perfect match for the dedication and ambition we expect to deliver exceptional results.
